How to Improve your Writing Skills with Few Steps
It is not difficult to master the
art of writing as you might think it is.
I have gathered some very useful steps that’ll help you in achieving you
goal easily. In normal life you must’ve written a lot but to master the art of
a professional writer you need to follow these steps and awaken your
consciousness of what you can do more. Learn Quran can make your reports more
conversational and easy to understand.
We do rattle of streams of
consciousness when we write in our journal which is fine as that is limited to ourselves
but to communicate these thoughts you need to give order to these thoughts.
1.
BE CLEAR
ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE WRITING AND ITS CONCEPT
As Albert Einstein has said that
if you can’t explain it to the six-year-old inside you, you don’t even
understand it yourself. For
communicating your rambling thoughts, first take a moment to explain it to the six-year-old
that lives inside you. Ask yourself what is it you want to write about, how it
should go through the way and what the result should be.
2.
KEEP YOUR
WRITING CONVERSATIONAL
Write the way you talk because
that is a good thing and this makes our writing conversational. Rattling
thoughts when converted in to written words it seems as you lake conviction.
Start practicing to straighten you writing.
3.
ELIMINATE
THE FILLER WORDS AND PHRASES TO BE CLEAR
Most times some words show in our
writing which don’t support our writing more or which don’t contribute more
called filler words. Yes this is also correct that few times these words give
color to the text. So they should be eliminated upon study if they don’t
contribute more to be exact and clear.
4.
STICK TO
SIMPLE WORDS
Do not try to be more poetic use
simple words. There are three kinds of word
a.
Words we
know b. Words we should and c.
Words do not know.
Stick to the second category.
Don’t try to impress more and be poetic so the reader understands easily your
point. Try for rich words but not
million dollar words which can lead the reader to not easily understand your
target point.
5.
USE
CONTRACTIONS
Use
contractions to make the sentences short and impressive. i.e
List of some
contractions;

An example of using contractions:
I am sure you will be able to
complete given tasks.
I’m sure you’ll complete given
tasks.
6.
TRANSCRIPTION
It is also a weird but useful
idea to record your self and later listen to it. This way you can easily edit
what you want to the reader to be focused on. This idea also helps in easily
removing filler words I.e. like, umm etc. After listening to yourself you’ll
easily know what to do and what not to do in you writing.
7.
READ IT LOUD
TO YOURSELF
Read what you’ve written loud to
yourself. You will know if the conversation or story or what you’ve written
about goes smooth or not. If it sounds clipped you can add some longer sentence
to break the steady beat. If you find
yourself circling around one point many times you should know that you need to
write it again or change the point now.
Reading what you’ve written especially loud to yourself works as it
becomes easily to compare it with genuine conversation and feel if it looks
like one.
8.
INDULGE YOUR
PERSONALITY IN YOUR WRITING
As you normally use phrases when
necessary to highlight your point, do the same in your writing to show your
real writing skills. You should follow the professional behavior of a writer
but be yourself to show it is you as the reader reads it.
9.
PRACTICE
The more you practice the more
your skills shine.
